Summer Beauty Essentials

My beauty essentials are pretty simple this summer. Peachy, rosy, nude colours are my favorite almost every summer. I don't accumulate them a lot, I buy just what I really like and stick to them for a long time. And all these products are very affordable and very good quality. So, here are some beauty picks for me:
  • Nail polishes- Eveline nail polish in shade 916 is such beautiful coral peachy colour, so bright and just perfect for summer. Has a big brush and it's very easy to apply. Essence- I <3 trends in shade 07 hope for love is from their the nudes collection and it's rosy-nude colour. Perfect nude for summer, not so bright, but very elegant and sophisticated on nails. It drys very quickly which is a big plus! And if I want to play with my nails a little I'll use these decorative beads by Tchibo for great effects on top of my nail polish.
  • Lipstick- For me it's very hard to find lipstick shade that I really like, so I was very happy when I came across this Rimmel Kate in shade 38. It's not too glossy or too matte, it's something in between, which I like. It's very creamy and long lasting. And since I have so small lips I think it suits me well. Great, bright colour for summer
Rimmel Kate-38
  • Blush-I have two blushes that I really like. One is NYX baked blush + illuminator + bronzer in 05 foreplay. I can't describe you how beautiful this blush is! It's very light, but buildable. I use it as a blush/highlighter and I'm in love with this colour. Beautiful peachy rose colour gives so nice and healthy glow to the skin. And the package with this lttle bow is so cute. The second one is by Alverde in 01 apricot. It's matte brownish-pink colour and since I'm very pale it's perfect for contouring for my skin tone.
1. NYX- 05 foreplay;  2. Alverde- 01 apricot
  • Essence all about matt oil control paper- My skin can become very oily in hot summer days, so I always carry with me this oil control paper. It's very small package and fits in every bag. Life saver! Affordable, too!
  • Mattifying powder- Rimmel- Stay matte long lasting pressed powder is a mast have for me. I use this on top of my foundation or without foundation when I just want light coverage and to even my skin tone a little bit. Great product and, also, very affordable.
  • Mascara- Mascara is the most important part of my make-up. If I don't wear mascara in public I fell like I'm naked or something. I have long, but straight lashes and if I don't put mascara on it looks like I don't have them at all. I've always used Maybelline mascaras and I loved them all, but this Lash Sensational one is real discovery for me. It curls my lashes (I don't even need to use my lash-curler anymore) and makes them so visibly full. This has been my number one mascara for a few months now and I think it will be for a long time.

Classique by Jean Paul Gaultier

Oriental Floral

Notes:
Top Notes- Rose, Pear, Bergamot, Mandarin, Orange, Orange Blossom, Star Anise
Middle Notes- Ylang-Ylang, Ginger, Orchid, Plum, Iris, Tuberose
Base Notes- Vanilla, Musk, Amber, Sandalwood, Cinnamon

I've planned to write a few words about this perfume for some time now, but somehow it didn't happen until now. I think, actually, that's because I was afraid I'll not be able to find the right words to describe this beauty in the best way. I'm not a perfume or any kind of expert, so I can't identify all the notes in it, but this is such a nice perfume and it deserves to be written about. I'll try to bring you the feel I have when I wear it.
First, please, take a moment and look at this bottle. In the form of a female torso with a corset, it can be easily concluded that it hides something feminine and special inside. Whoever thought that, was not wrong.

Even though I can't detect all the notes in it, I can smell the perfect combination of orange blossom, vanilla, amber and sandalwood. The first hit of it is orange blossom and vanilla, very sweet and very loud. As the time passes it calms down to soft, still loud, but soft vanilla, amber and sandalwood. This perfume is very, very strong! This is the one that can last you more than 12 hours. So, everybody need to be very careful with spraying it. For me (and everybody around me) one spritz is more than enough. It's beautiful and seductive, but if you overspray it, nobody will be able to breath near you or a few meters around you. Seriously! If I could take just one drop from this bottle I would, it will be the perfect amount for one day, or evening. And this is EDT. The EDP is much different and, believe it or not, weaker.

Now, if I look at notes and how strong it is, I can consider this as a cold weather fragrance, but it doesn't need to be like that at all. It has something inside that blends perfectly with warm skin in the warm summer nights. Never during the summer day, just nights. And it's so seductive. The man who one smell it, never forget it. I didn't believe in it until I experienced it myself. I don't know what is with this fragrance, it has some vintage feel in it, it can easily become "old lady" smell or to mark you as a vulgar and provocative women. But if you trigger the right amount in applaying, it can mark you as a special one, classy and sophisticated lady, but still seductive, it just can't be without this adjective.
When I smell this I always imagine a luxurious boudoirs, ladies in gorgeous and feminine vintage dresses, lots of lace, powder puff boxes everywhere on the dressing table, dim lights and lot of anticipation. The perfect perfume for intimate moments.

And, in conclusion, I can only suggest you to try it. It is certainly worth of attention.

Zara -Zara White

Floral
Notes- magnolia, freesia, jasmine, amber

While I was running all over sales in Graz, I stopped to Zara. I've never tried either one Zara's perfume, so I decided to dedicate myself to it a little. I was so surprised by the quality of the perfumes. They smell fantastic and they are cheap, too. This one I liked the most and it was only 7

This is so light and clean fragrance. Although it is quite floral I can say that it's also fresh in some way. I smell magnolia and freesia the most in it and a little bit of amber, too. I can easily imagine myself wearing it this spring and summer, but mostly in the spring. Gives the feeling like you've washed your hair with some nice floral shampoo. Smells very feminine and luxurious, perfect for work. I don't think there is anyone who would be bothered by the smell, or caused headaches. It can be seen by the notes  that this is a very simple perfume, but beauty is in the simplicity, don't you agree?
It reminds me of Miracle by Lancome. Actually, it is almost the same fragrance. So, if you like Miracle and you don't have money for it, this is very close and cheaper alternative. It lasts about four hours on my skin, not so long, but for this price it's ok.

And the packaging is so fancy. The box and the bottle are quite simple and go along with the smell. It looks classy and is very nice addition on the dressing table.
I can only wish it welcome to my small perfume family. :)

Homemade lip scrub

During these cold months we have to nurture our skin, hair and nails much more than usually. My lips are a special problem to me. They are always chapped, whether it's hot or cold weather. Lip balms help me in a very short time and then everything starts over again. I think this happens because I do not drink enough water. But I really don't like to drink a lot of water. Although, I think I will try it in the future.
I decided to make homemade lip scrub, so I can always use it when my lips are really chapped like these days. And of course, it is always better to use homemade products than those that are full of chemicals.
The ingredients I used:
  1. honey;
  2. extra virgin olive oil;
  3. granulated sugar;
  4. vanilla sugar ;
  5. small teaspoon;
  6. small container.

The container I've been using is a Manhattan creamy blush container. I just washed it very well. It's very small, there are only seven grams in it.

First, add a small amount of granulated sugar and then a little larger amount of vanilla sugar. the reason I love to use vanilla sugar is the way it exfoliates.Then add one teaspoon of the extra virgin olive oil. Mix it all together. It's very important not to add more oil, because it may be too oily and smooth. You can also use coconut oil, which will give a wonderful scent to it.

Then add honey and stir well again. I love it when a lip scrub is a little thicker, so I added more vanilla sugar. It smells divine!

This scrub leaves the lips so soft and nourished. After that, just coat them with good lip balm and enjoy.
Sugar helps to remove dead skin, and extra virgin olive oil, besides being an excellent skin moisturizer, helps to stimulate cell repair for firmer and smoother skin.
And there are many beauty benefits of honey. It is antibacterial, full of antioxidants and extremely moisturizing and soothing,
You can make the body scrub this way, too.

And, this is my final product. It's so small and cute, I can just put it in my bag and carry with me whenever I need it. :)

What's in my bag?

What's in my bag posts are one of my favorites posts to read and favorites YouTube videos to watch. Actually, I really like to see other peoples photos of their bag stuff. So, I decided to make post like that and I hope you'll like it. :)

I've just pumped out everything I have in my bag at this moment. The candle is here just for decoration. :) But, this Glade candle is amazing! Omg, it smells wonderful! It is limited edition in Warm Spice scent. Just amazing! My whole room is smelling so warm and nice right now.
My current most used bag is the Mona leather bag. I've shown this bag in one of my previous post already. I don't think there is any particular name for this bag. It's just very quality and big bag by one of the most popular Serbian brand Mona. I don't think I carry a lot of stuff with me, but my bag is always so heavy. I don't know why. :) And, what is in my bag right now:

  • My Linea wallet in blue colour. I really love this wallet, my mum bought it for me last year. It's so big, I can put all my cards, cash and resets in there.
  • I carry with me two notebooks, I don't know why.
  • Small vintage double mirror. I'm obsessed  with this mirror, it's so nice.
  • My lucky pen. I passed the last few exams using this pen.
  • The keys for my house and my car keys.
  • Davidoff Cool Water perfume.
  • Tic-tac for fresh breath.
  • Balea hand sanitizer.
  • Yves Rocher Redberries hand cream and the small package of Nivea cream.
  • Two lipsticks, the Rimmel Apocalips in 101 celestial and the Manhattan Soft Matt lipcream in 53M.
  • Two chapsticks, the Labello Fruity Shine in Peach and the Yves Rocher Redberries lip balm
  • The case for my car documents, which I carry in my bag always.
  • And, of course, my phone, Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all of you who are reading this post! I wish you health, happiness and fulfillment secret desires. I think the best way to start 2015. here on my blog is by sharing with you my New Year's Resolutions and things that made me happy at the end of 2014. So let's start! :)))
  1. My first New Year's resolution is to eat healthier, much more vegetables and fruits and less meat.
  2. Start exercise regularly.
  3. Be more positive and stop worrying about every little thing.
  4. Find a job.
  5. Be more generous and show more often people I care about how much I love them.
  6. Be more creative.
  7. Enjoy life to the fullest.
  8. Make every single day special and productive in some way.
  9. Laugh more.
  10. Surround myself with positive people who make me happy and avoid the opposites of them as much as possible.
These are not that big resolutions in life, but they are special to me and enough to make my life much more happier and complete. And who else but me every single year decide to exercise more? :)

Now, things that made me happy at the end of 2014. :)
  • Holiday spirit and decorations make this time the best time of the year! I'm like a big child, all Christmasy and sparkly stuff make me so so happy! I am the first in my family who put the decorations and Christmas tree on and I don't care. I enjoy it! :)))

  • Next is my trip to Graz. I went with my boyfriend there and it was beautiful. All Christmas decorations and fairy lights made the whole experience surreal. I'm so happy I was able to go there, especially in this time of the year.

  • And here are some bits and bobs that made me happy lately.

I have a very thin fingers and I find it very difficult to find a ring that suits me. When I found this golden rings and knuckle rings I was happy to the Moon and back! I'm so happy I finally found them! I have a little bow, heart, scull and some other undefined forms of them. And this gold necklace makes my simple outfits more interesting and sophisticated.

These Yves Rocher products are amazing! Some of them I bought in Graz, and some I received as a gift. I've been using raspberry hand cream and lip balm for some time now and I love them! The best hand cream and lip balm that I've ever used. And smell! Everything smells so good! This shower gel with the scent of coffee is amazing. It smells like a freshly made coffee.
While I was there I've tried several Zara perfumes and really liked the White perfume. It was on sale and very inexpensive, so I bought my mom and myself one. The smell is very nice, gentle, floral, clean, perfect for spring and summer, and the packaging is pretty elegant.

And this beauty was with me on New Year's Eve. I had only a few drops of it, so I thought it was appropriate to wear it that special night. I love this fragrance, it's so sparkly, fresh, but yet so floral, feminine and sophisticated.

This is a little update about things that made me happy lately and New Year's Resolutions.
What are your New Year's Resolutions? Do you have any?

My perfume collection!

As I mentioned it in earlier posts, I LOVE perfumes. I have gathered quite a collection over the years and  would like to share it with you. I have to mention that I collect perfumes for many years and didn't buy all of them within a few months. There are celebrity perfumes, a little cheaper ones and a little more expensive designer ones. My mum is using some of them, because there is no way I could use all of them by myself.
I used to buy perfumes all the time. I've been saving money just to be able to buy perfume. It was a kind of addiction. I couldn't stop buying them. But, it is a different story these days. Now, before I purchase any perfume, first I try it many times to see how it smells on my skin and how long it stays there. I think well before each purchase. In my opinion perfumes are so expensive and overpriced. So I'm very careful what I spend my money on.

Be sure to keep your perfumes away from the sunlight on a dark and cold place. They last longer that way.

I will write what I think about each of them separately. As you can see in the previous posts, I've already written about Noa by Cacharel and My Name by Trussardi perfumes. And I hope you liked it.

And here they are! :)))

Here is a bunch of samples that I have.

Have a nice day, everybody! :)
